Maria Rose ROI (Royal Institute of Oil Painters) is a British oil painter painting mainly outdoors to create softly evocative en plein air landscapes, working spontaneously to capture mood and light. Maria understands the quiet beauty of the English landscape and celebrates the subtle shifts through our unique and ever-changing seasons.

Maria has exhibited with the Royal Institute of Oil painters, the South West Academy, the Chelsea Art Society, the Royal Society of Marine Artists and the New English Art Club and is a member of the British Plein Air Painters. Prizes include the Julian Barrow Award for a Painting (CaS 2017) and Windsor and Newton Young Artist 2nd Prize (ROI 2017).

Maria was a contestant on Sky Arts Landscape Artist of the Year 2018 and was elected a Member of the Royal Institute of Oil Painters (ROI) in 2023.
