Biography

Carole Griffin is an Award Winning artist and elected member of the

Royal Society of British Artists.

 

She specialises in Still Life paintings using Oils or Watercolour.

Recently having re-located to North Norfolk, Carole has also been painting the surrounding Countryside en plein air in particular around Salthouse on the coast. The aim is to bring out the everyday beauty of the manifest world with a touch of the stillness behind.

 

Carole was awarded the prestigious UK Travelling Scholarship to America, which enabled her to work with a variety of artists and designers across North America. She also received many American “One Show” awards.

 

Having been trained at Central St Martins she later taught there as a visiting lecturer as well as at Norwich, Salisbury and Harrow Art Colleges.

 

Carole has had several articles published in the Artist and the Artist and Illustrator Magazine, was awarded the Dry Red press Award as well as the Artist Magazine Award.

 

She has had work in the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition and has been commissioned by the House of Lords and Royalty from abroad.
